ZiZZO Liberte Owners Get Ready For the E-Kit

As we are getting really close to launching the ZiZZO Convertible E-Kit we have been spending some time on previous blogs sharing some info to get you prepared. We want anyone interested in considering purchasing the kit to be as informed as possible to make a decision that is best for you so there are no surprises. Over a couple of years, we spent a lot of time and effort to put together a kit to work with all ZiZZO models past and present. It had to be a kit that followed our core principles and had the ability to work with all models, so nobody was left out.  For the installation process we felt that adding the rack with the battery, new brake levers, rear hub drive wheel, and the simple color-coded wiring was straight forward for all ZiZZO models. The only challenge that we were going to have was finding a bottom bracket PAS sensor to work on all the bikes. All of the models have a similar bottom bracket setup except one, the Liberte. The Liberte was designed as the lightest ZiZZO model and came with a higher end upgraded style bottom bracket. The Liberte's features were decided way before there ever was a consideration of an E-Kit. As we were searching for the PAS sensor that you need to fit on to the bottom bracket for the E-Kit there was nothing available for the Liberte. So rather than exclude our family of Liberte owners we realized the best way to make it compatible was to convert the bottom bracket the same style as the Urbano. Since we were changing the bottom bracket that meant we also had to change out the crankset. Once we ordered and received the parts, we made the changeover with no hassles.
