What does the warranty claim process look like; what should I expect?

If you have a concern about your ZiZZO Product, the first thing you will want to do is reach out to our Customer service Team by email at support@zizzo.bike OR by phone at 866-788-2202.

Our agents will ask for images, videos and/or recordings to help diagnose the issue.
Once we have determined this is a valid warranty claim, the agent will ask that you file a service claim form. Sometimes, an agent may ask that you file a service form AND attach the documentation to the form.
Please note that filing a service form does not guarantee warranty coverage.

Once we have the form submission, we typically will proceed in one of two directions:

Self-Repair: If the concerns minor and can be readily addressed at home, we will send you parts and/or guidance on how to resolve the concerns.

Third Party Repair: If the solution is too technical, we will reach out to a local bike shop to assist with the repair.
Please note that if we need to go through a third party, we will take care of the initial contact, scheduling and payment. All you should need to do is drop off the bike and then pick it up when the shop is done.

To activate the lifetime warranty, please register your bike at https://zizzo.bike/pages/register-your-zizzo-zizzo-folding-bikes or mail in your completed registration card.

If frame failure should occur due to faulty materials or workmanship during the guarantee period, the frame will be replaced with the same or most nearly compatible frame currently available. For frame replacement under the limited warranty, please contact us to initiate a warranty claim on your behalf. Frames must be returned for inspection at the customer’s expense and include a copy of the original and dated purchasing receipt. Please note: the fork is not part of the frame.

Refurbished bikes are covered by the same warranty as new bikes, BUT for a term of ONE (1) year.

COMPONENT LIMITED WARRANTY

In addition to the frame warranty, we warranty all non-wear; non-Shimano  components for a period of 1 year. Certain individual component, like Shimano, have their own warranties and local law may supersede this warranty policy.

This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective component (other than frame), and is the sole remedy of the warranty. Labor costs beyond the ZiZZO service department offers are the responsibility of the bicycle owner. Approved warranty replacement items are covered by the original warranty term, beginning from the purchase date of the complete bicycle. This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser of the bicycle and this is non-transferable. This warranty only covers ZiZZO bicycles sold through authorized ZiZZO re-sellers, and maintained per the Scheduled Maintenance explained on page 22-23 of the ZiZZO User’s Manual. Every ZiZZO bicycle and frame set has a useful product life cycle; Non-standard use, including without limitation, use in competitive events, jumping, aggressive riding, riding with heavy loads, can dramatically shorten the useful product life cycle of a ZiZZO bicycle.

ZiZZO Convertible e-Kit and e-Forte Limited Warranty

Users must follow the instructions and warnings contained on this page, in the supplied videos and in manuals supplied (online PDFs or print) for safety. Do not attempt to operate your e-Forte or ZiZZO Convertible e-Kit until you have adequate knowledge of its control and operation. Damage caused by failing to follow instructions is not covered under warranty and could result in dangerous situations, accidents, injury to you and others, damage to the bike, damage to property, injury, or death. If you have any questions about assembly or operation contact ZiZZO at 1-866-788-2202 or email us at support@zizzo.bike.

Because it is impossible to anticipate every situation or condition that can occur while riding, ZiZZO Bikes. makes no representations about the safe use of bikes under all conditions. There are risks associated with the use of any bicycle or (electric or traditional) that cannot be predicted or avoided and are the sole responsibility of the rider and assumes such risks.

ZiZZO Bikes is not liable for installation error or damage caused during the installation process.

Limited e-bike and e-kit Warranty

ZiZZO Convertible e-Kit and the E-Forte are warranted to the original retail purchaser to be complete and free from defects in materials and workmanship. All ZiZZO e-product warranties are effective from the date of delivery by the end-user provided the product is purchased in NEW condition. Products purchased from 3rd party sellers not affiliated with ZiZZO Bikes are not covered under warranty.

The drive unit (including the motor assembly, housing cover, gears, motor control unit assembly and battery) will be warranted for a period of 1 year.

This warranty excludes normal deterioration (wear and tear), including the gradual decrease of battery capacity over the one-year warranty period as long as the battery capacity is still 60% or more of the expected capacity before the warranty expiration and the total number of battery charging cycles is 800 or less (whichever comes first). A charge cycle is a full discharge and recharge. A partial discharge and recharge only counts as such (eg. discharging and charging 25% of capacity four times will count as one full charge cycle).

The Battery is not warranted from damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear or water damage.

BATTERIES

Please Be Aware batteries MUST be stored in a cool dry environment, should be stored fully charged, and should be maintained with maintenance charges (every 30-45 days) during long periods of storage. Damaged caused by improper care, water, dropping, or any collision is NOT covered.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

Spin Out – Spinning out the axles inside of your dropouts. We are unable to be there when the kit is installed so it is up to you to understand the high torque involved at the dropouts and install them correctly. If your dropouts are not correctly suited to fit the axle then you should not install the kit on those dropouts.

Over Voltage – Connecting a larger battery larger than 36 nominal volts can damage the controller, wires, and/or connectors. Damaging any kit component or motor by connecting the wrong battery type is not covered under our warranty. The Convertible e-Kit and e-Forte controller will work with a 36 volt battery pack. Using the controller with any battery larger than 36 nominal volts will void the warranty for your controller.

Warranties are limited to the replacement of parts and/or products determined by ZiZZO Bikes, at its sole discretion, to be defective.

In cases where components are missing, please contact ZiZZO Support for assistance.
