I'm not gonna lie; I could give it four stars, but I'm giving it five because this bike really fits NYC, where I live. I tested it on roads that aren't flat, and I felt comfortable riding. I highly recommend this bike if you live in a busy city like NYC with a few bumpy roads. Folding bike, light weight and useful features.
Barry H.
The Liberty was my first fold up. Great intro experience, but now finding the Urbano a much sturdier and smoother ride. The complimentary carry bag is easy to use and great protection. Also Zizzo’s phone support has been terrific!
Marilyn G.
Rides well. Been on long distance rides with Urbano.
Michael G.
light and convenient, respectable folding time, manageable carrying even with weight of accessories
Ben C.
Purchased these to ride at the campground. We put 8 miles on them the first trip. Excellent bikes! Very pleased with our purchase!
Kenneth M.
The bike is very light, well made, and a joy to ride. We bought two for our boat for a 6000 mile journey we are about to undertake.
Eric S.
The derailer needed to be adjusted, because it would not shift properly. Í did it and it seems to work great now. Other than that the bike is in perfect condition.
David L.
What a great little bike.

Overall I am very happy with the bike. I have owned this new one for around a month, and I also briefly had an older second-hand model. My space is small and I had too much trouble getting a full sized bike up stairs and into my apartment. I bought the Urbano for doing errands, getting a bit of exercise, and bridging the gaps between my apartment, the train, and work. I still need to get the rear rack and some panniers, but so far the bike has performed all of these tasks well. I am glad it has 8 speeds to deal with hills. The customer support has also been extremely responsive and helpful.
I had a few issues, ordered from more to less important:
- The bottle mount location is inconvenient because it is tool close to the frame hinge. A water bottle holder I had around is too long on the bottom to fit. This is also an issue with the Zizzo pump. Before you buy accessories that mount here, either get precise measurements from a manufacturer or measure it yourself.
- The mounting point for the rear pannier near the kick stand is a Phillips head screw. The threading may also be messed up as I stripped the screw while trying to get it unstuck. A local bike shop removed it for me. This may be a one-off problem, but consider making this consistent and use a hex screw here instead.
- The black finish on a lot of the hardware immediately starts to wear off once you try to do anything with the bike. If there were a bike with silver fixtures instead, I probably would've bought that.

I have loose spokes on the front and back wheel. The spokes are bent. I don't think the wheels were laced properly. The rest of the bike is perfect. This is a lightweight and beautiful bike.
CHARLES R.
I’ve had a bike for three weeks. It has been an excellent commuter and very efficient. Most of all I’m getting many compliments from commuters about what a nice looking bike it is. It has succeeded my expectations.
Rance O.
We needed something during our winter treks to Florida, that we could unmount from the bike rack and put into the SUV atop the luggage during crappy weather.
The Urbano rides well, shifts easily, is light and responsive. 20' wheels make for delightful turns. I'm not a novice; I'm a police bicycle instructor-trainer and I know bicycles so I gotta say something negative = the seatpost's saddle mount is unstable, doesn't mate properly to the seatpost. it wiggles and no matter how tight I get the bolt the seat nose points down (again). Had to buy a better saddle mount for $7.99. Problem solved, saddle points at the correct angle. No big deal, especially with the military discount Zizzo gave me. $389 plus free shipping. Boom!

We ordered two of these Urbanos for our 37 ft sailboat because they looked to fold up nicely and take a minimum amount of precious storage space. Kudos due to the packager as the bikes arrived in pristine condition after being shipped by UPS across the country, then flown to an island, then ferried over to our boat. They were easy to assemble and were ready to ride in minutes. We’ve only ridden them this morning but they were comfortable and the gears shifted smoothly so we can give them a high 5 so far. On another note, Customer Service rep, Janie, was excellent facilitating shipping and answering our questions. Thank you.
Kathy C.
I LOVE THIS BIKE! It’s easy to assemble and fold up, it has great gearing for light duty riding, and fits great in our truck. Very sturdy construction. Excellent service.
The only improvement would be quick release wheels.
Nancy M.
I love my new bike! I bought the Urbano and it is such a nice ride. I look forward to good weather, so I can really do a lot of riding!
Chad M.
Love these bikes! We have an Urbano and an e-Forte. Customer Service is quick to respond and very helpful. It's super easy to load the bikes in the SUV and go exploring.
SUSAN M.
I wasn't sure about a folding bike. I love this thing! It's comfortable, easy to fold, gears are fantastic. Added bonus is the ease of adjusting the handlebars and seat since it's a folding bike. Delivery and assembly both went very smoothly. My husband might be a lil jealous! My Zizzo is Zippy!
Karen T.
Once I figured out that the "bolt" holding both wheels together was actually a magnetic locking mechanism, I was able to unfold the bike and assembly/adjustments were easy. I attached the Zizzo trainer to my Urbano, and, for now, plan to use my new bike as an indoor trainer. It doesn't take up much room and is a good way to exercise indoors during these cold, wintry days.
Viet H.
I love the bike! I use it mostly for city biking and it's great. Small and light weight. I can carry it into stores and restaurants. Ride is a bit rough though. Option for suspension would be nice. But overall I would buy it again. Great job!
Michelle S.
Love my new Zizzo Urbano! I bought it for its portability and It's a perfect fit for my car, even with the top down! The bike is also light enough to lift up and down as I go to multiple trails a day, putting it in and out of the trunk. Well built with quality parts and easy to assemble and break down on a regular basis.
Timothy M.
We bought two of these bike to take with us on our boat while doing the Great American Loop. They are just great!!! We are both avid bike riders and own multiple bike (Tri, road, gravel, and mountain). We really wanted quality folding bike for our long boat trip.
One of our two bikes arrived with a need for a quick repair. I must say that the customer service was excellent. Other companies could take lessons on how to treat customers from these guys!
I will recommend them to anyone looking for a quality folding bike.
Andrew B.
Unboxing and assembly was very easy with the short videos. Have put about 50 miles in them in 10 days and thoroughly love them. They shift well , the brakes were well adjusted and they are easy to fold/ unfold and store when not in use.
Leh Choon T.
My second Zizzo. First was a Forte and now Urbano. I have no issues with both the bikes.
Shimano gears was excellent and long lasting.
Bill G.
I was fortunate enough to have caught this amazingly fun bike for a ridiculously low price at a wholesalers. Arrived quickly and all dialed n aside from air n the tires. Being older now and 5 flights of stairs here, love the light weight of this. Already exploring my neighborhood and park on this. I love mine ♥️
Margaret S.
Urbano loves to go on adventures right out of the box! Love the smooth gear shifting and light weight! Where has this bike been all my life?
Dmitri K.
Quality Engineering, very good product. Can ride Long distance without being tired and very compact for transport. Just What I need.
Gregg G.
Rides well . Folding tricky to get
the magnet to go together. (Handle bars and pedals have to be in perfect position) . Fun to ride .
Gene W.
Great bike. Easy to ride. Lots of fun! Light weight and easy to store in the bag we purchased. Nice looking bike!
Gene W.
This bike is fun to ride! It seems like a high quality unit. We hope to put a lot of miles on these with grandkids.
Gunther Z.
Really impressed with my Urbano. It came well packed (double boxed). After unpacking, unfolding and airing up the tires it was ready to go. Everything was perfectly set up, the wheels were true the brakes perfectly adjusted and the shifting was spot on. The urbano feels solid. I don’t detect any frame flex or squirminess. I picked the urbano over the Liberte to get the slightly fatter tires and the wider saddle. For myself I’d still get the fatter tires but swap out the wide saddle for the road bike saddle. My thoughts on the fatter (lower pressure) tires were that I wouldn’t need to air up the tires as often and maybe soften the ride a little. I’m very happy with Zizzo and the urbano and wouldn’t hesitate to get another one.
Chinayon B.
I love my Urbano bike. Used it thrice and looking forward to more bike rides.
Bob D.
The bike folds easily and rides nicely. My only complaint is the handlebar stem creaks with pressure (such as riding uphill). I took the bike to a repair shop and they were able to get some of the creaking noise out to where it is at least bearable. Not sure if this is a design flaw or if this is to be expected with all folding bikes. I am mostly satisified with my purchase and would rate this 3 and 1/2 stars if I could.
Maureen I.
Had a lot of rain lately, did not get a chance to ride it,hope to ride soon.having a little hard time Turing the speed setting.love the look of bike love it ,thank you. Maureen
John W.
I ordered the bike on Thursday and it arrived the following Tuesday. I unpacked it, and everything was perfect. I had to adjust one of the brake levers, but that was it.
So far, I have only ridden the bike around the small town that I live in, but I do plan on traveling with it, ultimately taking it overseas.
I may buy a second one for my wife.
Juanita S.
Well made, easy to fold and unfold. Fun to ride. Looking forward to being able to toss it in the cat and exploring all the great bike paths in our area.
Jeri T.
Got the Urbano as I am a sales rep so I go out of town a lot and carrying this bike around makes way more sense. What a sweet lil bike it is too. No complaints. Enjoy riding it to the beach. Folds up so easily.
Really happy with this bike
RALPH J.
My two weeks of research on fold-able bikes on “YouTube” has paid off. I love my new Zizzo Urbano bike. It is such a sweet ride with quality craftsmanship all the way. It came ready to ride and enjoy right out of the box - no assembly needed – just lift it out, unfold and enjoy. I can tell it was well-tested before it left the manufacturer because I’ve had no issues in three weeks of riding. It’s great on the trails with the gears shifting very smoothly. I’ve recommended this bike to several people in the park. Customer service has been excellent. They answered my questions through eMail before I decided to purchase. The one big issue was whether it would fold up into the trunk of my small Ford Focus. It does with room left to spare. I can highly recommend this bike and the Zizzo company.
John M.
The Urbano is the most affordable entry into the performance folding bicycle world with its Shimano drivetrain and standard sized parts. Dipping into my parts bin and a making few judicious purchases, I upgraded the Urbano 8-speed to 9-speed simply by switching to an Alivio 9s trigger shifter, higher-speed chain and a Shimano 11t-36t 9s cassette. This gives my Urbano a lower climbing gear at no expense to top-end speed. I also switched the saddle to a Fabric Line, fit alloy spd pedals, and added better-fitting wider carbon handlebars. These changes knocked nearly pound off the bike weight. With its multi-surface tires, it is now ready for off-road use. For road-only trips, I picked up a set of Continental Contact Urban tires and lightweight tubes which roll seriously fast and knock off nearly another pound. One problem I had was a bent derailleur hanger on arrival, but Zizzo sent a replacement quickly (thank you!). I have a full bike repair workshop so dealing with this issue was painless. If you are not bike-repair savvy, I'd budget to have the bike checked out by a trained mechanic. Even with no upgrades, the Urbano is a great lightweight bike, but with a few tweaks, it becomes a serious player in the folding bike world.
Tom H.
Still winter here in Maine but was able to ride about 100 yds on bare but potholed back road. Rides great.
Lady friend bought a Liberate 2 years.
I bought the Urbano to both ride with her and to prep for a knee replacement in September. We sail a boat all summer in Penobscot Bay in Maine and can keep the bikes on board. We look forward to exploring the inhabited islands in Maine that have roads (and keeping my knee strong).
Teryl R.
I added a rack and small panniers for hauling things and have enjoyed riding it. I swapped out the seat for one that works better for me, but everything else works fine.
Darlene A.
I have several full sized bikes but wanted a folding bike to take camping with me, and for other travel in the area. I also wanted something for more casual rides where I could just hop on in casual workout gear or shorts instead of a full Lycra kit. I decided on the ZiZZO Urbano and was not disappointed! The quality is excellent and it is very well made with good components. It feels very comfortable and sturdy. So easy to fold/unfold. I love the more upright position and I’m able to ride in casual clothes. I added fenders and a rack with a bag and it’s perfect for me to carry my camera for photography while I’m out riding in scenic areas. The customer service has been excellent as well as interaction with Tony in the Facebook group. All of the videos on a variety of topics are super helpful too. I am totally in love with this bike and I think it will be the first one I reach for now! Thanks for an excellent product.
Steve
Very pleased with the quality. Rides nice and easy to fold.
Ann B.
Honestly I can’t. We still have snow on the ground and sandy salty roads. Back at you in April when weather gets me out on the bike!
Phyl S.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and integrity of the components. This is one solid, well built bike.
Christopher A.
I ordered this bike back in November 2022 and have put about 80 miles on the bike in the past 4 months. I am very happy with my Zizzo Urbano. It is a solid bike for a good price.
I looked at many folding bikes and narrowed it down to three different bikes including the Zizzo Urbano. I decided to go with this bike because of its low weight and the 8-speed Shimano gears. This bike has definitely met my expectations. This bike is a lot lighter than my previous folding bike and I am really happy with the gears and how they shift. This bike has a nice gear range and it is pretty fast when you get up into the higher gears. I have folded this bike a few times and the folding mechanism is simple and is good so far. The bike looks nice and feels good to ride. The seat that came with the bike is a wider seat and is surprisingly comfortable for a stock bike seat. I may change it for one with more padding though.
I've only had a couple problems so far. The first problem is squeaky brakes which is common with other bikes I've owned and not a big deal for me. The other problem is some of the paint flaked off the frame when I was tightening one of the rear axle nuts. I'm not too worried about this either since the frame is aluminum and doesn't rust like steel frame bikes from what I understand.
Darlene
Love this bike! Very well made and comfortable, great components, folds easily. Excellent company and customer service.
Alex P.
Love the bike, it’s light and compact.
Guillermo G.
Nice bike. A bit heavier than I thought but it's cool. It would be nice to have a handle to be able to lift it better while folded. Good value for the price.
John R.
I wish we had been aware of Zizzo's folding bicycles a long time ago. We would have been able to take them on many of our getaways. The ability to transport and safely stow bicycles in the back of an SUV opens new horizons for us.
We're very impressed with the design and build quality, but even more impressed with the level of customer service.
David H.
The Zizzo Urbano exceeded expectations. I've only had it out for three rides (one at 15+ miles). The bike rode very smoothly (no twitching) and I was impressed with the ride quality. We do a lot of 30+ mile rides and will try this bike(this was not the planned use - we have hybrid bikes that we are out on a few times a month) on some of our longer rides. It was nice folding the bike to put in the back of the car instead of muscling the the hybrid into the back of the car (and removing the front wheel). We will probably purchase a second one for my wife (she already has two hybrid bikes) for ease of transport for our shorter rides.
Wendy M.
I have a red Urbanu that I have had for 3 years. Love it. I use it at our Florida house. Ordered this one; the same, so I will take it home to our Canada house. Zizzo does not ship to Canada. My husband took it apart and it fit into a legal airplane size suitcase. There are a few changes in this bike which I like. The post that lifts the handlebars up and down has a stop on it so it won’t fall out if I raise it too high. The latch where it folds the bike in half is easier?? To undo. This bike is nice because I have neck troubles and I sit up straight, no hunching over. I’m 68 years ago and I ride 10 miles a day. Easier to ride than my cruiser bike. Great company and quick shipping. My neighbours in our senior park in Florida are envious of me And I can still lift it up into our Kia Soul.
graham r.
Nice little bike, rides smooth and easy,..very happy with it as it will be used exclusively for travel. Also want to acknowledge Beau at the Hayward operation who was real patient and helpful with my questions which ultimately had me bring my bike there for the safety check...Im old and not very mechanical handy amymore,..great customer service.
Adam L.
It's been raining constantly since I received the bike, but now that the weather is clearing up, I was able to take it on my first ride. Very promising first outing! There's a plastic guard above the chain ring and it's not clear if that's just for shipping or if it's supposed to be there.
Tim S.
We bought an Urbano and a Liberte' and Both bikes are outstanding. The fit, finish and workmanship are great. The instructions for unpacking and pre ride checks both in paper and video forms are very easy to follow and helped us get to know these great bikes. We are very happy campers and are so happy we bought these Zizzo bikes.
Jeri F.
I had a Citizen Gotham 24-7 folding bike before and it was good, but it was too big and heavy for me and my car. I really like the size and weight of my ZiZZO Urbano and the ride is more comfortable. I like the way it looks too!
Patrick S.
Great to take on train
John M.
My new Urbano was super well packaged, and shipped across the country for free! The Zizzo videos clearly showed how to unpack, check, and fold the bike. Also, the Zizzo articles on adjustment, repair, and the science behind the bike were very informative. On the phone, Tony was very helpful and courteous. Everything went smoothly. The bike looks and feels more sturdy than I expected. As a tall rider, 6 feet 4 inches, I chose Zizzo because, with the long seat post, I'm assured that I can stretch out my legs and get a good push. Looking forward to riding it when the weather improves.
Heather S.
It's been decades since I've been on a bike, but since getting my Urbano a few weeks ago, I've been riding it daily. I purchased the Urbano with the goal of commuting to work, a four-mile commute that involves a three-mile climb. Any trouble I have with the hills is due to my low fitness level, not the bike; the eight gears offer plenty of options. I'm surprised at how much I like riding this thing. It didn't expect it to be so much fun! It fits me perfectly, and it's easy to maneuver. My living space is small, and so I do fold the bike for storage after every ride; I've encountered no difficulties thus far. Honestly, this thing is turning me into a bike-riding evangelist. :-)
John M.
My wife and I bought each other a pair of Urbano's for Christmas. So far we've only ridden them in the neighborhood but are looking forward to bringing them camping in our van when the weather improves. Pretty wet right now! Thanks for the great service!
Richard M.
Wow! That is my impression of my two new Zizzo Urbanos! I had been looking for a folding bike that I could put in the car and take to the park, river bottom and places that my full size “neighborhood” bike can’t easily go. I did not want to invest in a trailer hitch and bike rack for my car, in order to take them to the places I mentioned. I was concerned that these bikes might feel small, or even like I was riding a kids bike. But was I wrong! These bikes really do ride like a BIG bike. Believe it or not, they are even more fun than my regular full size bike. I purchased two Urbanos. One for me and another so I could take one of my kids or my wife with me on my biking adventures. The bike feels solid and the components that Zizzo puts on these bikes are great.
Customer service was fantastic when I called with questions about the bikes before I ordered. Zizzo also has lots of videos on Youtube that can help you to fix or modify your bike. I have watched them all, and at this point, I feel like I know Tony. He is the Zizzo info guy!
I can’t say enough great things about these bikes. If you enjoy bike riding, you are really going to love these Zizzo folding bikes!
Paul L.
They ride really well like big bikes. Recently, I introduced Zizzo to a couple of ours and they purchased a pair of Liberte I believe.
Bill S.
First, why a boat photo in a Zizzo bike review? Because Zizzos are great boat bikes. Also excellent train bikes. Even great if you commute partly by car and don’t want to fool with bike racks. Anyway, we are sailing the west coast of Mexico right now, and when we stop in places with roads it’s great to have a Zizzo. I am not an expert on folding bikes, but from what I have seen they are by far the best buy in the folding bike market. Another boater showed me a bike that cost three times as much as a Zizzo and that folded smaller, but it just didn’t excite me at all. It folded smaller because it had tiny wheels. Why it cost three times as much I could not say. Performance: I am a bit over 6 feet tall and weigh close to 190 pounds, and the Zizzo is comfortable and solid, even on poorly maintained roads. Really I could go on and on, but basically I would say this is an awesome product. I guess I should add that customer service has been outstanding. Ten thumbs up all the way around.
Moises C.
So far it’s like a hit or miss depending on bike quality in some components. Particularly, the brakes. The front V brake on my Urbano gives off an awful loud squealing. I did try to take it to the bike shop and they couldn’t do much. I think they mostly cleaned it but that’s about it. I even tried to center the brake pads and still loud noise. Only the rear brakes are quieter.
In terms of experience. It can be a little awkward for me. The cockpit is a tad bit narrower than my 24inch Northrock XC6, though the handle bars and seat posts can at least just barely exceed the 24inch bike’s height(even if it’s almost too high for my legs when I’m not pedaling).
Everything else seems to work fine, though with the stock tires I don’t recommend going through gravel and rough wet dirt.
Roy B.
This is the beginning of my set up. Already had the Ibera rack so decided to use it. I love the quality of the bike. Recommend you check the fasteners, the handle bar clamp on mine was a little less so it shook a little. Not dangerously so and a half turn fixed the problem. Shifts perfectly, and brakes are fantastic right out of the box. I highly recommend this bike!
David P.
The bike is fun to ride and takes less than a minute to fold. While it is a few percent heavier and a few percent larger, folded, than the spec suggest, it's still light and compact. It's a good bike.
Sally M.
I am a physical therapist, newly retired, and looking for a healthy new habit. Living close to beach boardwalks was my incentive for a folding bike I could easily manage myself and throw into my Corolla trunk for adventures. This bike is SO much fun, so smooth, so quiet, and so safe due to the smaller wheels. I can speed along, or weave in and out of pedestrian traffic if necessary. I can’t stop talking about my folding bike to everyone I know!!!!
William S.
My wife’s Zizzo Folding Bike arrived about a week after purchase. It was boxed very well, which protected the bike, but was easy to remove. Set up took about 10 minutes, and she was riding.

"Third On Is The Charm"
.
This is our third Zizzo bike and definitely the best one. A nice combo of the road bike (Liberte) and the BMX style (Ferro).
.
Pro:
Test ride this morning for forty five minutes around the neighborhood, hitting every raggedy part of sidewalks to test the tires and ride comfort, going over jagged, moon crates and large, raised cracked areas.
.
Flawless!!!!
.
Seat is comfortable (no need to change) especially when riding over the rough terrain as well as the smooth road (bike lane).
.
I'm 5'2 female with Multiple Sclerosis (55 yrs old/125 pds) and prefer not folding the bike to get it up the stairs from the basement and than down the stairs from the patio to go outside.
It seems to be lighter than the Liberte and easier just to carry it as is.
.
Con:
The front "magnet set" bolt/screw seems to be too long and sticks out and is way to close to the spokes.
I removed it since I have a Velcro with hook attachment,so I can still fold it and use the Velcro in its place to hold it in place.
Will purchase a Zizzo rear bike rack for it when they become available again.
Mary L.
I am 69 years old, and hadn’t ridden a bicycle for many, many years. After a lot of thought and research, I recently decided to buy a Zizzo. I knew that if I could just fold up a bike and toss it in the car, and be able to just ride whenever and wherever I could work it in, I would ride a LOT more consistently than if I had to mount a bike rack or remove wheels, etc. I first ordered the Via model, which I liked very much — it was excellent! But I was having to get off and walk it up little hills and long incline grades too often, so I upgraded to the Urbano model. With its 8 speeds and easier gearing for hills, I’ve only had to walk it once up a long, steeper incline, toward the end of an 8-plus miles ride. The Urbano is also three pounds lighter than the Via, which has made a difference for this girl in lifting the folded bike in and out of my car trunk.
I have health issues, and getting out in the fresh air, sunshine, and getting my heart rate up for longer periods of time are so important for physical health and mental well-being. My Zizzo has become a vital part of my “life and wellness prescription!” Now I’m riding over 10 miles, doing errands and shopping, and aiming for a 20-30 more ride in an “easy-friendly” bicycling group!
Staff at Zizzo are second to none - 10 star — in their accessibility, care, and prompt, knowledgeable customer service. Owning my Zizzo is not only being able to have a wonderful, go-anywhere bike at a good price, but also having help available if I need it. The Zizzo customer service is stellar, standing out and above in the midst of a “dying breed” in terms of modern customer service.
Thanks Zizzo!!!
Mary
1. Zizzo company is rare in these days. Their customer service is second to none!
2. The bike arrive on time, extremely well packaged, and in perfect condition.
I am more than pleased.
Paul L.
Actually, I got the red one for my wife and I’m still waiting on the gray one which I was told would not be available until sometime in November. Otherwise we love the bike so far.
Charles M.
This is my second Zizzo Forte. My son and I just completed a 200 mile on the two Zizzos over the Allegheny pass from Pittsburgh to Washington, loaded with forty+ pounds of gear. The bikes worked beautifully, even in far than less ideal conditions. Now my son is going back to New York with one of the Zizzos, which he'll use for commuting on a daily basis. A win-win all around.
Jenny H.
Love it as is but am planning on adding Swytch kit. Then it will be the perfect lightweight e-bike to carry with me when I travel in my RV.
Gian Marco P.
It was great
Joy D.
Zizzo made it easy for me to learn from instructional information how to unfold my Urbano out of the box, do safety checks and adjust the seat with tools so it fits me well and then fold it back up for transport or storage. ....I love that! My Urbano came in good shape and a Zizzo Representative was available for any questions all throughout the time it took to go through getting used to everything. And I really like the bike! With 8 speeds I was able to bike up the hills in my neighborhood.
localadmin T.
Extremely convenient as we live in a small apartment with no storage. We bought 2 bikes and took them on bike trails and even walking trails with no issues. We love the red look. We have been getting a lot of comments on how nice the bike look. The ride is very nice. It is not the best going uphill but it is expected. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Barbara H.
Can’t wait to take it on vacation!
Doug A.
My wife and I bought 2 Urbanos, and after about 3 months, I felt I could write an informed review. We're in our early 60's. They were packaged well and arrived damage-free. A good start. They are very simple to setup and are clearly made with high quality. Much higher quality than expected. After unpacking, adding air to the tires and a nut and bolt check, about 10 minutes each, we were off and riding. After about a 1/2 hour we noticed some creeking noises coming from the steering shaft, especially under load. A very small amount of lithium grease solved that permanently. Note, do not use too much grease as it will get all over you when folding and unfolding. These bikes ride very nice, not like the folding "clown" bikes we had tried from other manufacturers. The 20" wheels, with taller sidewalls, combined with the long pedal throw, make these bikes feel like riding a standard-type bike. The bearings are not "crunchy" anywhere, the brakes perform perfectly, and the seat is very comfortable. The high quality chain is a plus too. The easily adjustable handlebars and seat post make the bike a good fit for nearly anyone and the look pretty cool too. This was a good purchase for us and I highly recommend the Urbano to others.
Carlos R.
I love it, can't believe that riding this bike feels pretty smooth.
Linda B.
When you buy something online and have never seen it in person you always have some doubts. But in this case doubts were totally unnecessary. I was extremely pleased when my Urbano arrived. Not only is this little bike well made and great quality it is completely assembled. You simply unfold it and you're good to go. Seat and handlebar adjustments are easy and the ride is smooth. I added a few accessories like the comfort seat ( The seat it comes with is really nice, I just need extra cushioning). I also put the derailleur protector on as well as the cell phone holder. And I got the bag to protect it in transport. The compact size when folded is a big plus. It's light weight is an added bonus. There is a return policy so you can try it without worry. I think it's definitely worth a try.
Charles M.
Rides smoothly. Shifting particularly smooth. Love the way it takes hills, so the gearing is just right for me. Wider tires make for a comfortable ride. I have road bikes and a hybrid bike that all ride faster, but like the fact that I can ride very upright on the Urbano, which has greater appeal now that I'm older.
I Find the bike somewhat difficult to fold, as little stuff seems to get in the way. I think to get it right I'll have to make a few adjustments, like moving the kick stand a half inch. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Chin M.
I visited ZiZZO showroom, love red Urbano at the first glance. So bright, so light (only 24lbs, lifted it to upstairs), big wheels to pedal fast as feet easily touched ground at anytime.

Great bike! Surprisingly sturdy, very light with a comfortable ride. Nice to be able to fold it and throw it in the car. We own 4 Zizzo’s now, love them all!

Great bike to ride, is sturdy and feels secure. Easy to fold, and light enough to carry and put into the car. Would highly recommend . Excellent value.

We bought these bikes to use with our boat. We travel and sometimes the stores and restaurants are a bit of a jaunt. We loved the idea of the bikes taking up less room on the boat and being light enough to load on and off without it being a chore. After putting them together, we are very impressed with the engineering. They seem very well built and thought out. They are going to be a great addition to our travels by water.

This is the best investment ever! Totally worth my money! Fold up bikes are the best bikes in town right now. I can get my cardio done and ride around for a while, and then fold up my bike and the best part is it is easy to fold. Does not Take up space. I wish I would have bought them sooner.

I bought this to bring along on trips in my single-engine airplane, where conserving space and weight is important. The bike is perfect for my needs. The construction quality is very good. It very easily fits in the plane's luggage compartment and leaves plenty of room and weight allowance for other bags.

I've owned the Urbano for over a month, it's a solid ride, and it's a good looking bike. If the seat is more comfortable, it would be perfect!

I have been riding my Urbano everyday since I got it. It's lightweight and very comfortable. Glad that I bought it.

My husband and I had been wanting to get a folding bike and so happy we came across the zizzo. We love it it's so practical it's easy to fold and unfold. We always get asked about it when we're out riding. Definitely recommend!!

i have been wanting to get a folding bike for years now but was very skeptical. couldn't justify spending a few thousand on the likes of a brompton but also found anything below $500 questionable as to quality and safety. every few years i would start a research and abandon it without making a purchase, until a few weeks ago. while searching for something relating to my specialized bike i stumbled upon the zizzo bikes. based on comments and reviews, it took me about 20 minutes to make up my mind. the urbano was easy to unfold and only needed to have the saddle post clamp tightened before the first test ride in the local park. after i stopped by my local bike shop to address squeaky front brakes and to get a small bell. i have attempted a few hills which i found a bit challenging to test the gears and the urbano handled them without a complaint. i also felt safe going down the numerous hills in the neighborhood, in a bike lane of a busy road as well as paved park bike lanes. the the average speed achieved on urbano during my two week testing was 15km/h and the maximum clocked in at 33km/h, the longest distance achieved during that time was 20km.
overall, i am very happy with my purchase so far, i find the urbano very comfortable to ride and easy to handle. i plan to ride the urbano to the boardwalks at local beaches, take it on the train out of the city to ride longer bike trails (like the different sections of the empire state bike trail) and use it as a main mode of transportation once i go back to work next year. everyone i know who has seen my urbano up close was impressed with its build and weight, a few started their own research into foldable bikes. urbano seems like a perfect blend of durability and convenience to us city dwellers. good job zizzo! and thank you :)

I love this bicycle. I have avoided riding a bike for over 20 years because of a bad accident, but I missed it so much. I'd see people riding their bikes and I envied them so much, but... that accident loomed in my head. One day, not too long ago, I met an older couple riding 20" folding bikes. They assured me they had similar concerns, but the smaller wheel somehow made them feel less vulnerable in case of a crash (stuff happens). The next day I began my search. I found Zizzo and fell in love.
The Urbano a beautiful machine. Truly. I'm 65 and not terribly strong, but I keep it in my car and can easily get it in and out, folded and unfolded in a jiffy. I love riding it, and it is gorgeous.
Love. It.

bikes arrived unharmed from the shipping. Videos very helpful for unpacking, assembly and learning to fold/unfold. Rode extremely well from onset with no gear or brake problems whatsoever. Have transported them to bike areas both folded and unfolded.

This was bought for my Daughter to take to college. We put the rack, softer seat and chain lock on the bike. She loves it, rides it everywhere.
The quality of bike and the ease of folding/unfolding are Excellent!
The company has great customer service. I emailed and called several times and the people were patient and very helpful with all my questions. I will definitely recommend Zizzo to anyone!

Purchased the Urbano as a gift. The receiver of this gift was thrilled! While I can’t say much about the bike as I am not the one riding it, what I can say is the customer service is amazing. Real people actually answer the phone and are very knowledgeable and helpful! The Urbano was out of stock but we were put on a waiting list and contacted as soon as it became available. Definitely worth the wait!

I love this bike! The quality and parts are excellent. Even with the fenders and rear rack installed the bike feels lighter than you think it would. I needed assistance with setting up and received excellent customer service when I called. Extremely happy and grateful for good customer service.

The Urbano is the first bike I've owned in decades. I've had it for about a month now, and so far I'm really enjoying it. I love the convenience of the folding design, and the relatively light weight--I don't have to deal with a bike rack, and it's light enough that I can carry it to and from my 2nd floor condo easily, not to mention it's very easy to store at home (no having to park it in my community garage space). The only mishap I've had so far is the chain came off the pedal crank once. I got it back on, and later made adjustments to the derailleur & chain guide. So far, so good. I think I might've pedaled backwards while shifting into 8th gear at the same time by mistake that caused it to come off.
