Should you need to adjust your frame lock, please follow these instructions. Always ensure that the frame lock on your bike is always secure and the secondary lock is in place before you ride.
Adjusting the frame lock
1. Rotate the secondary safety lock up to the open/unlocked position.
2. Unlock the frame lock by pulling the lever out, away from the frame.
3. Looking at the underside of the frame lock lever, notice the retaining screw.
4. Back this screw out using a 2.5mm allen wrench. *Do not remove. Only loosen.
5. With the frame partially folded, you will see the adjustment bar.
6. With an adjustable wrench rotate the bar to adjust the frame lock.
NOTE: Turn with only 1/4 rotations at a time, close the lock and test to see if proper tension is achieved.
7. Looking back at the retaining screw.
8. Tighten the retainng screw so that it rests firmly against the threads of the adjustment bar. NOTE: Do not attempt to turn the adjustment bar once you have tightened the thread locking screw. Damage to the threads may result.
9. Test the adjustment by pressing the frame lock lever into the closed/locked position.
10. When closing, you should hear a pop/snap as the frame lock lever locks into place. NOTE: There should be no looseness, the frame lock lever should engage with a firm press of your finger or palm.
